The site:
“Redradar | yet another WordPress site” really does say everything about this site. Currently it’s host to my wordpress plugins and any other interesting projects I do, it also serves as a journal for my wanderings in web design, and anything I feel might get too technical for my everyday journal (which exists on LiveJournal).
The human:
The “I” you will see everywhere is Kelly. She is a recent grad from Smith College, taking classes at UMass, looking for a job doing who knows what. She has a (part-time) job doing web design/development with Skytemple, which often leads to her making tiny plugins which may be expanded on later. She is located in the northeast US; New York or Massachusetts depending on the time of year, but would love to eventually make it (back) over to the west coast (though she wasn’t actually on the coast…).
On a more technical note, she has been working with web design (the HTML/CSS bits) loosely for about 6 years, starting with a terrible pseudo-blog on angelfire, to finally paying for hosting if only for access to PHP and MySQL (at least 4 years ago). Since then she’s focused more on what you can do with PHP and MySQL, and in her not very existent spare time writes small scripts such as CoastSeeker, a spinoff/extension of xkcd‘s geohashing idea.
She has a sort-of resume/interests page, which isn’t very formal at all but started as more of a notes page anyway. If a more formal resume is needed, that can be found here.
When not doing tech-related things, she’s probably reading/watching something sci-fi, or dancing/wishing the world were a dance club.
